Dhaka: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Bangladesh on September 6-7 at the invitation of his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
A Foreign Ministry release said here today the visit is expected to infuse fresh dynamism into the multi-faceted, multi-dimensional relationship between the two countries.
The two sides have been working towards making the visit by Dr Singh a successful and a fruitful one, the release said.
During the visit, Ms Hasina and Dr Singh are expected to discuss the entire range of bilateral issues, including cooperation in trade, connectivity, water resources management, power, land boundary demarcation, border management, security, culture, education and people-to-people contact.
The two leaders will take stock of the implementation of the decisions taken during Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India in January 2010 and will provide guidance for further widening and deepening the excellent relations between the two countries.
The two sides will be consulting further to work out the details of the visit of Dr Singh to Bangladesh.
