Maloora toll reaches 3; Omar Wants End To Destruction

Srinagar: A minor girl injured in the Maloora blast on Sunday night, succumbed to her injuries at the SK Institute of medical institute, taking the toll to three in the explosion, official sources told Monday.
They said four-year-old Muskaan, who had received multiple injuries in the explosion, that left her two siblings dead and three others injured, succumbed to the injuries, minutes after the doctors at the SK Insititute of medical sciences operated her.
15-year-old Noor Mohammad and his sister, Bisma, were killed when the explosive device they were fiddling with exploded with a bang at their Maloora residence around 8:30 last evening. Three other family members, including Muskaan were injured in the blast. All of the injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
“The condition of the girl was very critical when brought to hospital last night. She had poly trauma. The doctors operated her instantly. However, during the intervening night she succumbed to injuries,” SKIMS, Medical Superintendent, Dr Syed Amin Tabish told.
“The condition of her mother is stable,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah expressed grief and sorrow over the death of the children in the Maloora blast
“God please put an end to all this death & destruction. How many more graveyards do we have to fill before someone says ENOUGH (sic)”, Omar said in a post on a popular social networking website Twitter.
The Chief Minister’s also replied to the tweets posted by his followers.
“It doesn’t matter who the hell the grenade belonged to, all that matters is that 2 young lives have been snuffed out much before their time (sic)”, he tweeted.
He also took a dig-on the militant outfit, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) for creating encounter in the area.
“Doesn’t it bother you how in every tragedy you are conditioned to blame the security forces. What about LeT that created encounter” he said in the post
“I’m conditioned to call a spade a spade. Try it some time, it’s liberating”. He added
Replying to another tweet, Omar said, “I’m well aware of that but unless your CM is God himself/herself there are somethings that are beyond any human’s control”.
