Major infiltration foiled in Keran sector, 12 militants killed

Srinagar: GOC 15 Corps Gurmeet Singh today said a major infiltration bid in Keran Kupwara sector at LoC was foiled by army, killing 12 militants on the spot.
Addressing a press conference here, the GOC said, “We are ready to face any kind of operation. Our intelligence network is very effective and very specific and we are equipped to fight against any type of challenge posed by the militants.”
The GOC said that situation at the infiltration site is now under the control of army. “I am really proud of my men who fought in the operation and the situation is now under our control,” he said.
The GOC also informed that cadres of LeT, Hizb, and Al Baddar’s outfits had infiltrated at the site.
Responding to a question the GOC said that during operation no army suffered no causality.
