Major damage to Jhelum Bund averted

Omar oversees removal of fallen Chanir Tree at Rajbagh Band

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 5- Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah this night after receiving the message that a Chinar Tree has fallen on river Jhelum Bund near Convent School endangering breech in the bund, rushed to the sport and directed to immediate removal of Chinar. The operation for the same was started under his supervision.

Till the filing of this report the removal of the Chinar tree was being conducted on war-footing.
