Srinagar, March 28: Maisuma Behbood Committee has expresses its utmost displeasure over the growing drug addiction in Kashmir.

Maisuma area to find out means to keep area safe from drug addiction.

Maisuma Behbood Committee expressed concern that be it any area of Kashmir most drug abusers fall in the age group of 18-35 years. 
It made it clear that the sources of getting drugs of addiction in Maisuma and other areas need to be trimmed and acted upon .

Ajaz Ahmad War President Maisuma Behbood Committee urged a full scale war on Drug peddlers and hunting down the drug mafia behind it.
Ajaz Ahmad War termed the youth of Maisuma as future of Kashmir urging a multi pronged strategy to tackle drug addiction.
He said the data with reference to it is alarming.

Ajaz Ahmad War urged that sale of sensitive medicine like Cough Syrups should be regulated in Maisuma and all the areas .He said we need to keep in mind that Maisuma has become the hub of medicate agencies who sells medicines as retailers without any licence.

Maisuma Behbood Committee told youth that data in Kashmir reveals the increasing cases of drug consumers, especially among the youth from 15-25 years and is a major concern for both the authorities as well as the guardians.
Ajaz War said any force trying to introduce drug menace in Maisuma would be dealt with iron hand.

Maisuma Behbood Committee hoped that entire Kashmir would be free from drug addiction soon.
