Srinagar, December 17: Maisuma , the historic area of Srinagar city also a business hub of Kashmir , along with adjoining areas like Red Cross Road, Medina Chowk, Gawakadal etc are suffering due to poor telecom and internet connectivity making both masses and business establishments are taking a hit.
Masses have rued the fact that premier telecom companies Airtel, Jio are both nil at bottom as far as providing quality telecom and internet services to the masses is concerned. Students as a result suffer in their studies; Business people are struggling in their online activities especially related to the ecommerce. Digital payment which is the main mode of trade has been hit hard by poor internet connectivity making business community of the area suffer.
The premier Civil Body of Maisuma The Maisuma Behbood Committee has deplored the fact that both Airtel and Jio telecom companies have miserably failed in providing round the clock quality calling and internet services to the people, thus putting people in multiple hardships.
A fervent appeal has been made to the concerned companies to restore the quality internet and calling services in the all important Maisuma area. From bottom to top floor the calling, and internet services are hardly active in Maisuma area. The people are forced to travel long distance to make a simple call or surf the internet.
