Maha Shivratri celebrated with religious fervour at Shiv Khori

About 1,07,453 devotees pay obeisance
REASI, MARCH 07: Maha Shivratri festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour at Shiv khori, here today.
Amidst chanting of religious slogans the devotees in large number thronged the shrine and offered special prayers.
A grand Shiv Khori mela was also organized by the district administration Reasi, Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board(SSKSB) and Tourism department on the eve of Shivratri at Ransoo, base camp of holy shrine.
Langars and Bhandaras were arranged for the pilgrims at the base camp, Ransoo and near the shrine. The shrine was highly decorated for the last two days and administration had made elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of mela.
As per the Executive Officer, SSKSB, Mahesh Sharma, about 1,07,453 devotees have visited Shivkhori so far and the yatra was going on smoothly.
About 30 different departmental stalls were also set up for providing awareness to the people about various government schemes and giving Job oriented information to the Youth. Cultural Melange by Natrang besides Bhajans, Lambi Bhakh and Kud dance were also presented by the artists during the 2nd day of mela which was highly appreciated by the audience.
DIG Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Surinder Gupta and SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar also visited the Shiv khori to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
