New Delhi, July 13 (KMW): Days after G Parthasarathy’s appointment as chancellor of the Central University of Jammu, Army veteran Lt General Syed Ata Hasnain (retd) has been named chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir.
President Ram Nath Kovind, who is the visitor to all central universities, has cleared the appointments. While Parthasarathy succeeds J&K governor NN Vohra as chancellor to the varsity, Hasnain will replace founding chancellor and renowned nuclear scientist Srikumar Banerjee.
Justice L Narasimha Reddy has been appointed chancellor to Central University of Hyderabad and academician SV Seshagiri Rao is the new head of the Central University of Kerala. BJP MLC P V Krishna Bhat will head Central University of Odisha and Prakash Bartunia is the new chancellor of Bhim Rao Bababsaheb Ambedkar Universityin Lucknow. Harmohiner Singh Bedi will head the Central University of Himachal Pradesh while it is P L Chaturvedi for the Central University of Haryana.
