Lohri Festival Illuminates Poonch Campus with Joy and Bonfires

Poonch, 14 : Poonch Campus witnessed a vibrant celebration of the Lohri festival as students from both Girls and Boys Hostels came together in a spirit of unity, marking the occasion with traditional bonfires.

Amidst the crackling flames and cheerful camaraderie, the Director of Poonch Campus, Prof Rakesh Vaid, shared his heartfelt congratulations with the Poonch Campus family. In his message, he emphasized the significance of the festival and the sense of togetherness it fosters.

He said that “The Lohri celebration at Poonch Campus serves as a testament to the diverse and inclusive environment fostered within the institution, where students from various backgrounds come together to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultural traditions,”

Warden of Hostels, Dr. Rubia Bukhari, joined the festivities, actively participating in the celebration with the hostel boarders. Dr. Bukhari extended warm wishes for the times ahead, highlighting the importance of such cultural celebrations in creating lasting bonds within the campus community.

Under the starlit sky, students gathered around the bonfires, their faces illuminated by the warm glow, to sing traditional songs that have been passed down through generations. The rhythmic beats and soulful tunes resonated, creating an atmosphere of unity and shared heritage.
