Life remains crippled in Kashmir due to flood, rain hundreds of marriage cancelled

Srinagar, Sep 6 : Life remained crippled for the third day today in Kashmir valley where hundreds of marriage ceremonies were cancelled following floods, triggered by incessant rains during the past five days.

Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Kashmir valley including Srinagar, where majority of the roads were waterlogged with over 3-4 feet of water.

Historic Lal Chowk, including Budshah Chowk, Hari Singh High Street, Mahraji Bazar Moulana Azad road and Residency road wore a deserted look as roads linking to these areas were completely submerged.
