Life comes to grinding halt in Kashmir, shops closed, traffic off roads

Srinagar, Sep 5 : Life in Kashmir, including the summer capital, Srinagar, came to a grinding halt as majority of the road in the valley were waterlogged due to heavy rain in the last four days.

Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic remained off the roads in summer capital, Srinagar, and adjoining areas.

Historic Lal Chowk, including Budshah Chowk, Hari Singh High Street, Mahraji Bazar Moulana Azad road, residency road wore a deserted look as roads linking to these areas were completely submerged.
