Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Tuesday announced to suspend strike while as the lawyer’s body announced to reconstitute the executive committee of the association, which would find ways and means of seeking Advocate Mian Qayoom and G N Shaheen’s release.According to a statement, during a meeting of the lawyer’s body at the Saddar Court complex here, it was decided that previously elected office bearers  Mian Abdul Qayoom president, Aijaz Bedar vice president, G. N. Shaheen general secretary and Tanveer Ahmad Bhat treasurer shall continue to hold their office till Qayoom and Shaheen’s release.“It was also decided that the available office bearers shall, in consultation with members of the association, constitute the executive committee within a week’s time. The decisions with regard to affairs of association and for finding ways and means for the release of Mian Abdul Qayoom president and G. N. Shaheen general secretary, the committee shall come up with roadmap,” the statement said.Meanwhile, the lawyer’s body has suspended its protest programme against Qayoom and Shaheen’s detention “for the time being, till the committee will come up with new programme.”Those who attended today’s meeting include Advocate Z. A. Shah,  Z. A. Qureshi, . Nazir Ahmad Ronga, Mufti Mehraj-Ud-Din, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Bashir Sidiq,  Majid Jehangir,  Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Jawad Reshi,  Reyaz Khawar, Mohammad Yousuf Parray and  Baber Jan Qadri.
