Land mafia active in J&K; govt planning curbs on land use

Srinagar,(KMW News): Concerned over the construction of unplanned residential colonies by land mafia in Jammu and Kashmir which resulted in increase of land price, the government is now planning to put some curbs on land use.

“Land mafia has been active in the state, particularly in the Kashmir valley which has resulted in increase in the prices of land and conversion of agricultural land for commercial purpose,” Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board Managing Director (MD) Kiran Wattal said today.
