LAHDC Kargil Plans Summer Break for Schools Amid Soaring Temperatures

Kargil, July 10 : In a bid to provide relief to students and teachers amidst the rising temperatures, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, held a meeting today to discuss the summer vacation schedule.

The meeting, attended by Executive Councilor Education Zakir Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, Principal DIET, Chief Education Officer Kargil, and other officials of the education department, aimed to address the growing concerns regarding the heat and its impact on the academic calendar.

CEC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, expressed his concern over the rising temperatures and emphasized the need for a break for both students and teachers. “The teacher fraternity and students should get a break in between to recharge and come back refreshed,” he said. 

After detailed deliberations, the CEC directed the Chief Education Officer Kargil to issue an order for the summer vacation schedule in the coming days, following the completion of exams in schools. The summer break is expected to commence shortly after the exams, providing much-needed relief to students and teachers.

This decision is expected to bring relief to students and teachers alike, allowing them to take a well-deserved break during the peak summer months.
