KVK Kargil-1 launches one-month tailoring training to empower women after successful embroidery program

Kargil, Jan 06: After completing a one-month frame embroidery training program, which saw the participation of 20 women from various parts of the region, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kargil-1 has launched a new one-month skill development program on tailoring.

The training began on January 2 at its Kurbathang campus, as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to empower women in the region. KVK Kargil-1 aims to improve the farm women’s livelihood through this skill development training program.

Dr. Nasreen Fatima Kacho inaugurated the training program and welcomed the trainees to the Kendra. She emphasized that empowering women in the region remains her top priority while outlining the mandates of the KVK. She assured her full commitment to achieving this goal.

The training coordinator, Dr. Mansoor Hussain, elaborated the objectives of the training program and encouraged the trainees to work diligently and make the most of the learning opportunities provided.
