Kulasekara, Herath Return To Sri Lanka ODI Squad

Colombo: Sri Lanka’s selectors Tuesday recalled bowlers Nuwan Kulasekara and Rangana Herath to a 15-member one-day international squad to play South Africa this month.

The seamer and left-arm spinner were dropped for the Pakistan series last month.

Also the selectors have picked 22-year-old batsman Lahiru Thirmanne 18 months after he played his last one-day match.

Chamara Silva, Jeevan Mendis, Seekkuge Prasanna and Suraj Randiv, who were part of an 18-member squad that played Pakistan in November, have been dropped.

Sri Lanka plays South Africa in a five-match one-day international series starting January 11.

Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Angelo Mathews, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Dinesh Chandimal, Kosala Kulasekara, Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Kulasekara, Ajantha Mendis, Rangana Herath, Dhammika Prasad, Dilhara Fernando, Lahiru Thirimanne.
