Kichloo visits earthquake hit areas of Kishtwar; Assure adequate relief to victims

KISHTWAR: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today visited Matta, Hidyal, Bera Bhatta, HattaPochhal, Tund, Bagwan Mohalla and other earthquake hit areas of Kishtwar District.
While interacting with the affected people of these areas, the Minister assured them that the Government will leave no stone unturned to mitigate their sufferings. He said all the concerned departments have been directed to act swiftly for the relief and rehabilitation of the quake victims.
He asked the Revenue Authorities have been asked to work in close coordination with the Panchayat members of respective areas to assess the actual damage to the life and property of people. The Minister called upon the people to come out from the fear psychosis as the administration in on the full backing in the need of hour.
The Minister said that Chief Minister has already sanctioned Rs 25 crore as relief package for the victims and center has been approved to provide Leh type rehabilitation package for the victims.
He assured the people that government is aware of their hardships and all the resources are being pooled to remove their hardships. He asked the people to cooperate with the administration and maintain peace and calm.
“People should cooperate that help and benefits reach to the most poor and deserving victims”, Mr. Kichloo maintained.
