KashmirPolls: 2 youth die, several injured in SF firing in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 9 : Two youth died while several others were injured when security force opened fire at demonstrators at two separate places in central Kashmir district of Budgam, where polling is underway today in Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.

On separatists’ poll boycott call, hundreds of protestors took to the streets at Dalwan in Budgam and tried to march towards their polling station.

However, security forces deployed in the area to maintain law and order, swung into action and burst teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, who were pelting stones.

As the protestors didn’t back down, security forces fired at protestors in which several youth were injured.

The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where two of them were rushed to SHMS hospital, Srinagar in critical condition.
