Srinagar, (KMW News): Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah Tuesday expressing sympathy with the Shopian people on the fourth death anniversary of Asiya and Nelofar and said that Kashmiri nation will never forget them.
Shah said that it has been a tradition that slaves are being treated like this, like the rulers of the state are ruling over the people of the State. He stressed that death in the path of freedom is preferred over life of slavery because in slavery respect and honour is not safe.
“If Kashmiri’s would not have been slaves then the killers of Asiya and Nelofar would have been punished. The disregard of the honour of the people of the Valley is still going on,” he said.
Shah said that Kashmiri nation will never forget the cases of Asiya, Nelofar, Kunan Poshpora, Tabinda Gani. “It is surprising that the rulers of the state are watching like mute spectators and are never
opening their lips over the serious issues. The case of Asiya and Nelofar was not only restricted to Shopian but it is a collective loss to the entire Kashmiri nation and the entire nation is disgusted by
the shameful act of the authorities who have not even brought the responsible people to book. If any common man would have been involved in the act then the authorities would have catched him much before.
There is something that is being hidden,” Shah said. While lauding the people of shopian for protesting the shameful act on part of the authorities, shah said that they by protesting the act and
closing down their business establishments for months they have shown great courage and respect. “It is the example of live nations that they resist any attack on their honour with full force. We feel that the oppressors by giving helping hand to the criminals have played with the sentiments of the people,” he said.
While expressing sympathy with the people of Shopian and family members of Asiya and Nelofar, Shah said that one day will come when the criminal have to pay for their wrong doings.
