LAHORE : Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has said that the Kashmiris’ observance of India’s Republic Day today (Wednesday), as Black Day would be a message that they would never accept India’s slavery and would continue their freedom struggle at every cost.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said, India could not cover up its extremism and bias against its minorities by observing Republic Day as its discriminatory treatment towards its minorities including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs was known to the whole world.
The demolition of the historic Babri Mosque and hundreds of other mosques, the churches and Sikh temples including the Golden temple, clearly spoke of Hindus’ bigotry.
At present, he said, more than 77 separation movements were going on in different parts of India and it could not prolong its unlawful occupation in Kashmir which had virtually slipped out of its hands.
The JI chief slated Islamabad’s begging New Delhi for talks and backdoor diplomacy on Kashmir. He said instead of begging for talks, Pakistan should expose India’s bloody face to the world community.
He said, despite its best efforts, India would not be able to fly its national flag across Kashmir on the so called Republic Day while the Pakistan flag was already flying in the width and depth of Kashmir.
He said, had the Pakistani rulers not adopted hypocritical policy and had shown some courage, Kashmiris would have been freed from the India’s troops brutalities since long.
He also slated the Kashmir Committee’s role and its failure to support the Kashmiris’ just cause. He warned the rulers that no one would be allowed to sell out the Kashmiris’ blood.
He said it was high time that the United Nations and Human Rights bodies raised their voice against New Delhi’s unlawful occupation on Kashmir.
He saluted the Kashmiris on their steadfastness in their freedom struggle under the leadership of Syed Ali Gilani, and assured them of Pakistani nation’s all out support.
