Jammu, Aug 5 :Â In view of prevailing unrest in the Kashmir Valley and fresh protests in Ramban and Doda districts of Jammu region, the government today ordered snapping of mobile internet service as preventive measure.
“The mobile internet service has been temporarily snapped in the Jammu Province to prevent rumor mongers from spreading any kind of hatred messages and provoking pictures and as well as video clips,” a senior police officer here today said.
He said that the service was snapped late last night, adding, “only mobile internet service as it is easily accessible to the youth, has been snapped as preventive measure while broadband services will remain operational.”
