Srinagar, Aug 2 : Unidentified persons hurled two petrol bombs at the uptown residence of Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Naeem Akhtar who had already left to high security Gupkar official accomodation immediately after Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government took over in the state.
Houses of some workers of different political mainstream parties had been attacked while a senior National Conference (NC) leader resigned and joined the present protests.
Official sources said some unidentified people hurled a petrol bomb at the Parraypora residence of Mr Akhtar which fell in the compound without causing any damage late last night.
