Srinagar: Life came to stand still in Kashmir on Tuesday morning due to a strike call given by Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani for pressing the release of kashmiri prisoners from jails. According to reports, all the business establishments, private offices and banks as well as schools and shops across the Valley remained closed due to the strike. Transport was too off the roads. However some private vehicles are seen plying on some routes of Srinagar. Roads all across the North Kashmir wore a deserted look and a complete shutdown is being observed in Apple Town Sopore and saffron town Pampore. (Details emerging….)
