Srinagar, March 04: The recent thaw in India Pakistan relationship in form of border ceasefire is likely to see more confidence building measures in coming weeks and months .

The recent thaw in India Pakistan relationship in form of border ceasefire is likely to see more confidence building measures in coming weeks and months .

Sources state that Government of India is likely to release many separatist leaders ,and talks are on with them in this regard. The effort is on to bring many separatist leaders to mainstream and convince them for electoral process and dialogue .

Many have started to opine that fresh ice breaking bilateral engagement between India and Pakistan after a long hiatus would lead to a change understanding of both the neighbouring countries vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir will act as forerunner of peace and prosperity in the region.

Recently , Calling the cessation of ceasefire violations between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir a good beginning, Lt Gen BS Raju, General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps, says that it will help find ways to stop terrorism and look for durable ways to peace in the region. “We are committed to making it work in letter and in spirit and expect the same from Pakistan,”.

The Biden administration views the India and Pakistan relationships as not a ‘zero-sum proposition’, U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price has said. His comments, made at a regular briefing, were in response to a question on U.S. foreign policy to Pakistan, given that it borders both Afghanistan and India.

Many believe taking these developments forward the release of many separatist leaders who are ready to shun violence is now just a matter of time .tist leaders to mainstream and convince them for electoral process and dialogue .
