Srinagar, Jan 10: A first of its round table conference titled “Jammu Kashmir the Conflict and Challenges Ahead” is being organized on 13th of this month at a local hotel in Srinagar. The conference is being organized by renowned lawyer and activist Advocate Babar Qadri.
According to the reports, the conference is organized in backdrop of the recent statement of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) made on the occasion of ‘Youm-e-Taqadus’ 04th January wherein youth were asked to come up with their ideas and suggestions viz-a-viz “Resistance Movement.”
One of the team members among organizers, pleading anonymity, said the conference will deliberate upon the political challenges faced by the people of Kashmir especially youth, adding, a large number of youth from different sections of society have assured their presence in the conference.
“The Conference is organized by Advocate Babar Qadri, known for his concrete critical comments over the political scenario of Kashmir. This is would be the first of its kind assembly to bring the suggestions and ideas of youth on forefront.”
Pertinently, to condemn the unfurling of ISIS flags inside Kashmir’s grand mosque by unknown youth, the JRL had called for Youm-e-Taqadus (Day of Sanctity) on Friday, on the occasion the JRL coined the slogan-Kashmir ka tarjuman, Naujawan, Naujawan, and said that they stand by it with the belief that youth have to take the ongoing movement forward as they are the vanguards of the movement.
“The leadership urged the youth to connect to leadership and visit their homes and offices of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to give their suggestions and take on the movement and how to make it more robust and strengthen it. They may register their disapproval if any to leadership.”
