Kashmir Movement a Freedom Struggle, not terrorism : PPP spokesman

Srinagar, Nov 11: An emergency meeting of the J&K People’s Political Party (PPP) was conducted at the PPP headquarters here today at Rajbagh. The party discussed the present political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and developments taking place globally after US elections and the impact of Donald Trump were also discussed. The executives unanimously agreed that a comprehensive diplomatic campaign is needed to highlight the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for their birth right of self –determination as enshrined in UN Charter in order to educate and explain the global community and superpower countries that ‘Unresolved Kashmir is Threat to International peace and Kashmiris legitimate and just struggle is the movement for ‘Right to Self-determination not any terrorism.

“Our Chairman, Engineer Hilal War, wasn’t allowed once again to offer Friday prayers on consecutive 20th Friday in a mosque and was put under house arrest,” said the spokesman adding, “We condemn the continuous detention all resistance leaders.”
