Srinagar, Dec 01 (KMW): A first of its kind magazine titled ‘Kashmir Inside’ is all set to be launched in London on the occasion of Human Rights Day being observed globally on 10th of December during a seminar organized by Justice Foundation.
According to the sources, the Justice Foundation – Kashmir Institute of International Affairs founded by late Dr Ayub Thakur is proposed to hold a seminar on the occasion of Human Rights Day during which a first of its kind magazine titled ‘Kashmir Inside’ will be launched in presence of several noted activists and scholars from the globe.
Sources said that the magazine will be based on the ground reports from Indian Administered Kashmir, besides it will also introduce Valley’s rich culture, tradition, tourism, and brotherhood. Sources added that the founders of the magazine have already hired many prominent young journalists, writers and photojournalists from the valley.
Confirming the proposed development, prominent activist Muzzammil Ayub Thakur, serving as Executive Director Justice Foundation said that a seminar in wake of human rights violations in Kashmir will be held on 10th December in London, United Kingdom on the occasion of International Human Rights Day followed by a Press Conference during which first edition of brand new publication ‘”Kashmir Inside – Uncovering the Truth” will be launched, adding, an important announcement will also be made all in one night.
Speaking to local news agency Onlykashmir.in, Uzair Ronga one of the main founders of ‘Kashmir Inside’ said although the magazine is yet to be released we have received more than two thousand subscriptions bookings around the globe. He said initially the hard copies of the magazine will be available in European and South Asian countries, however, later the magazine will be available in rest of the world.
“The copies of the magazine will also be presented to different world organization including United Nations, OIC, Amnesty International and World Red Cross Society besides the High Commissioners offices in the United Kingdom,†Uzair added.
When asked about if there is some financial support provided by any forum or organization, Uzair said we are only expecting advertisement from Business Community of Kashmir as it will not only boost their business globally but will also help us in smooth functioning of the publication.
The publishers have also created pages on different social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter titled ‘@kashmirinsideuk.’
