Bangalore: The Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa has stoutly denied the allegation of graft made against him by former Chief Minister and JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy. Speaking on the sidelines of a book release programme in Bangalore today, the Chief Minister termed the allegations as baseless.
H D Kumaraswamy alleged yesterday that firms managed by Chief Minister’s sons had received thirteen crore rupees from an infrastructure company as a favour for receiving works in Upper Bhadra irrigation project.
Yeddyurappa said, the project was cleared by Kumaraswamy himself during the coalition rule. Yeddyurappa alleged that during 20 months of coalition Government with JD(S), they enjoyed the fruits of power, but now are making baseless allegations particularly against him.
