JAMMU OCTOBER 24 – Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) to review the status of various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district
He took a detailed review of various centrally sponsored schemes including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana – NRLM, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya – Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU- GKY), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP), Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (NRLMP), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and various other schemes.
District Development Commissioner Simrandeep Singh apprised the committee regarding the current status of all the centrally sponsored schemes going on in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma stressed on optimally achieving goals of centrally sponsored schemes and to bring efficiency in their output for welfare of the common masses.
He further directed the concerned departments to work in tandem and ensure that the projects are completed in the fixed timelines. Stressing on the need to generate awareness among the people about the welfare schemes and programmes, Mr Sharma said that the concerned officers should reach out to the people so that they can avail maximum benefits from these schemes.
Member Parliament also maintained that public participation is vital for efficient implementation of these schemes and stressed for adopting a collective approach for achieving the set targets.
