JKYJA Observes 5th foundation day

Srinagar, March 05(KMW): Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association (JKYJA) today celebrated its fifth anniversary with the firm pledge to champion and promote journalistic values in the state.
Pertinently, meet was participated by all important functionaries.
The meeting attended by Bilal Bashir Bhat (Treasure), Majid Kapra (Organizer), Bilal Furqani (Vice-President),, Rameez Makhdoomi (Chief Spokesman).
JKYJA dwelled on important issues. I
JKYJA also called upon the government to fulfill its promise of releasing advertisements to Webportals calling it the burning demand and need of time.
The meet also called upon the government to act tough against deadwood and namesake journalists who are bringing disrepute to holy profession and are lacking the desired competence.
Mr. Ajaz Ahmad War, President JKYJA Stated – “On the eve of five years of JKYJA coming into existence it is matter of great pride and pleasure that we have tried our level best to champion the cause of young journalists.
Releasing advertisements to online webportals that are providing quality news and analysis and have been in the field since more than decade is must. We call on govt to weed out the inefficiency from media world should be taken on priority basis. Kashmir being a conflict zone so a special insurance policy should be announced for young journalists especially those covering conflict. We pledge to take forward the journalistic ethics forward.”
A resolution was passed on the occasion which reaffirmed the resolve of JKYJA to champion the just cause of young journalists of Kashmir and uphold the dignity of journalism profession and divert full energies to highlight the problems of common masses in a dynamic way.
