JKYJA dismayed over continued gag on internet speed in J&K

Srinagar, April 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association (JKYJA) has expressed deep concern over the continued throttling of the high speed internet in the Jammu and Kashmir region particularly at the time of global pandemic of Corona Virus.
President JKYJA, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad War said, “ at a time when doctors have to continuously access high speed internet for downloading and accessing the high speed internet ,the same continues to evade, thus posing a grave threat to the pandemic related efforts and is a stumbling block in fighting against covic-19 Pandemic”.
Mr. Bilal Bashir Bhat, General Secretary JKYJA observed that students of Jammu and Kashmir are suffering a lot due to absence of 4G internet as they are not able to attend the online classes, access education lectures in a proper manner, urging restoration of same immediately for better academic of their future.
JKYJA Spokesman, Mr. Rameez Makhdoomi expressed concern about the continued choking of 4G internet is hurrying the overall paradigms of economy and education in the region, and also telecom players continue to charge 4G rates for 2G services, which is grave injustice against telecom consumers of Kashmir.
Mr. Peer Viquar,Member JKYJA opined that youth of Kashmir have not been able to access proper employment opportunities, and also not able to work properly from home in these hard times of pandemic due to nonexistent of 4G internet marring not just their job prospects but also giving rise to tremendous unemployment.
Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist association asserted the fact that the continued gag on high speed internet is impacting overall contours of life in Kashmir at a time of global pandemic.
