J&K Tourism & TASK organizes impressive road show at Indore

INDORE, FEBRUARY 6: J&K Tourism in collaboration with the various travel trade bodies of Kashmir, organised an impressive road show at SAYAJI Roof Top Terrace Indore.
The event is part of the promotional series organised by the department in collaboration with various tour and travel organizations across the country to showcase the tourism potential of the state and attract tourists.
The event received an encouraging response from the tour and travel operators of Madhya Pradesh and media who took keen interest in promoting the tourism avenues in Jammu and Kashmir.
Later while addressing a press conference organized by TASK Director Tourism Kashmir, Mahmood A Shah urged the stakeholders associated with the sector to come forward in promoting tourism avenues in J&K. He also highlighted the pivotal role played by the Department of Tourism to increase tourist footfall in the state and said that the government has left no stone unturned to ensure comfortable stay of tourist by providing excellent infrastructure ,communication network, upgraded roads & developing new attractions such as Heritage Circuit, Golf Circuit & Adventure activities.
In his welcome address, President TASK requested travel trade associations of Indore to give top priority in promoting Kashmir.
Later presentations were made by Deputy Director Tourism Jammu, representatives from Khyber Himalayan Resort, Ahad Hotels & Resorts and Grand Mumtaz Group.
Those who spoke on this occasion include Mr. Anil Saxena, Regional Director MP Tourism, Manish Sharma, Chairman TAAI MP Chapter, Javed Burza, President KHAROF & Nasir Shah, Chairman PILTOF.
Vote of thanks was presented by Vice President TASK, Mir Anwar ,he also thanked its organising Committee Members such as Ather Yameen, Secretary General TASK, Nasir Shah, Bashir Karnai, Bilal Malik & Nehnaz Bhat and groups such as Khyber, Ahad Hotels, Grand Mumtaz & Mountview for making the Seminar / Road show a great success.
Also in its bid to promote the MICE activities and Golf in the state the department is also taking part in “India Travel Mart – Chandigarh 2016 one of the prominent International Travel & Tourism Mart.
Director Tourism Jammu R.K.Verma and other senior officers of department of tourism and JKTDC along with representatives of tour and travel associations are participating in the event to be held from 06-08 Feb 2016.
