JK reports 3967 new positive cases, 197701 recovered so far

JAMMU, MAY 18:The Government on Tuesday informed that3967 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19),1704from Jammu division and 2263from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 251919.Also 71 COVID-19 deaths have been reported,39 from Jammu Division and 32 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 3823 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1360 from Jammu Division and 2463 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 251919 positive cases, 50925 are Active Positive, 197701 have recovered and 3293 have died; 1532in Jammu division and 1761 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 7996880test results available, 7744961 samples have been tested as negative till 18thMay, 2021.

Till date 1983113 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 75443 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 50925 in isolation and 124809in home surveillance. Besides, 1728643 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 59191 positive cases (including 666 cases reported today) with 7791 Active Positive, 50699recovered (including 730cases recovered today), 701 deaths; Baramulla has 18352 positive cases (including 196 cases reported today)with 2847Active Positive, 15279recovered (including 425 cases recovered today), 226 deaths; Budgam reported 16852positive cases (including454 cases reported today)with 4219 active positive cases, 12479 recovered (including 313cases recovered today), 154 deaths; Pulwama has 11014 positive cases (including 127 cases reported today)with2486Active Positive, 8386recovered (including 201 cases recovered today)and 142 deaths; Kupwara has 9616 positive cases (including 120 cases reported today), 1735 Active Positive, 7755recoveries (including 143 cases recovered today), 126 deaths;  Anantnag district has 11931 positive cases (including 156 cases reported today)with 4094 Active Positive, 7697recovered (including 200 cases recovered today), 140 deaths;  Bandipora has 7224 positive cases (including134 cases reported today), with1087Active Positive and 6059 recoveries (including 32cases recovered today),78 deaths; Ganderbal has 7166 positive cases (including 116cases reported today)with 1070Active Positive, 6032 recoveries (including 149 cases recovered today)and64deaths; Kulgam has 8114 positive cases (including 190 cases reported today)with 3437 Active Positive, 4594recoveries (including146 cases recovered today)and 83 deaths while as Shopian has 4642 positive cases (including 104 cases reported today),1138active positive cases, 3457 recoveries (including 124 cases recovered today)and47 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 45357 positive cases (including 522 cases reported today) with 7901 active positive cases, 36594recoveries (including 644 cases recovered today), 862 deaths; Udhampur has 9342 positive cases (including 272cases reported today), 1800active positive cases, 7438 recoveries (including114 cases recovered today)and104 deaths; Rajouri has 8323 positive cases (including 141 cases reported today)with 3419active positive, 4762recoveries (including 131 cases recovered today)and 142deaths; Doda has 4831 positive cases (including 59cases reported today)with969Active positive, 3787 recovered (including 50 cases recovered today)and 75 deaths; Kathua has 7588 positive cases (including 183 cases reported today), 1413 active positive cases, 6072recovered(including 143cases recovered today) and 103deaths; Kishtwar has 3612 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today)with 381 Active Positive, 3205 recoveries (including 77 cases recovered today)and26 deaths; Samba has 5843 positive cases (including 107 cases reported today)with 2134 active positive cases, 3622 recoveries(including 96 cases recovered today) and 87 deaths; Poonch has 4406 positive cases (including 123 cases reported today)with1373active positive, 2967recoveries (including 17 cases recovered today)and 66 deaths; Rambanhas 3917 positive cases (including 188 cases reported today)with910 active positive cases, 2964 recoveries (including 46 cases recovered today)and 43 deaths while Reasi has 4598 positive (including 60 cases reported today)with 721 active positive cases, 3853 recoveries (including42 cases recovered today)and 24 deaths.
