JK reports 1695 new positive cases, 337412 recovered

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 12: The  Government today informed that 1695 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 812 from Jammu division and 883 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 348201.Also, 01 Covid death has been reported from Jammu Division.

Moreover, 262 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 140 from Jammu Division and122 from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today.

On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 71,541doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,95,81,977.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 348201 positive cases, 6242 are Active Positive (3348 in Jammu Division and 2894in Kashmir Division), 337412 have recovered and 4547 have died; 2212 in Jammu division and 2335in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 20008030 test results available, 348201 samples have tested positive and 19659829 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 65,348 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 5462055 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7306 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 6242 in isolation and 434217 in home surveillance. Besides, 5009743 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 320 cases, Baramulla reported 250 cases, Budgam reported 116 cases, Pulwama reported 30 cases, Kupwara reported 52 cases, Anantnag reported 40 cases, Bandipora reported 36 cases, Ganderbal reported 18 cases, Kulgam reported 20cases while as Shopian reported 01 fresh case for today.

Similarly, Jammu reported 438 cases, Reasi reported 85 cases for today, Udhampur reported 68 cases, Rajouri reported 42 cases, Doda reported 10 cases, Kathua reported 93 cases, Samba reported 30 cases, Poonch reported 22 case, Kishtwar reported 09 cases while as  Ramban reported 15 fresh cases for today.
