Jammu, January 24: Raj Bhavan Jammu Kashmir today celebrated the Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh. Senior Government officials, Students, and the people of Uttar Pradesh currently living in the UT were the special invitees.

The Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh.

He paid tributes to the freedom fighters, great revolutionaries and luminaries from Uttar Pradesh and recalled their valuable contributions to nation’s growth and building of a modern India.

He said the blessed land of great revolutionaries like Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, is a confluence of cultural heritage, patriotism and innovation which is guiding the society since time immemorial.

“One of the most ancient cradles of Indian culture, Uttar Pradesh is the land of pilgrimage, spiritualism, knowledge, literature and an ultimate destination for seekers, intellectuals, travellers and historians. The state is blessed by sacred rivers and home to ancient civilizational cities. May the state of Uttar Pradesh scale new heights of progress. I pray for the good health and well-being of all,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
