J&K CM seeks report regarding functioning of Maternity Hospital Sanat Nagar

SRINAGAR, JULY 03: Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti has asked Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education Department to personally visit Maternity Hospital Sanat Nagar in Srinagar and submit a comprehensive report about its functioning.
The Chief Minister said she has received lot of complaints that Maternity Hospital, Sanat Nagar has been rendered defunct and scores of influential doctors and paramedical staff have got themselves attached there so that they remain posted in Srinagar and also don’t have to do any work.
“I have also been told that these medicos and paramedics have made all machinery at the Hospital defunct to avoid work,” she said.
Taking serious note of the complaints, the Chief Minister asked Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education Department to submit a comprehensive report regarding the functioning of this hospital, including sanctioned staff, staff in place, status of diagnostic equipment and other machinery and number of patients being attended at the hospital per day.
