J&K CM condoles death of President’s wife

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 18: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Smt. Suvra Mukherjee, the wife of President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
The First Lady, who had been ill for some time, passed away today morning.
Paying rich tributes, the Chief Minister described Smt. Suvra Mukherjee as a creative artist, writer and painter, who lived a very active life and contributed immensely towards promotion of art and literature. “I convey my condolences to the President over the sad demise of his life’s companion and pray that Almighty gives him courage to bear the irreparable loss,” he stated.
The Chief Minister conveyed his solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
