Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned this morning for half-an-hour after heated arguments among members of ruling National Conference (NC) and main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
As the House began its proceedings, Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone called for the first question of the day.
However, PDP members were demanding suspension of the Question Hour and discussion on adjournment motion moved by the party on mysterious death of National Conference activist Syed Mohammad Yousf Shah.
However, the Speaker, who exchanged unparliamentary language with the Opposition members, rejected the PDP demand for suspension of the Question Hour.
When the members of PDP and NC continued shouting, the Speaker adjourned the House for 30 minutes.
