JeM Dev commander held in Sopore: Police

Srinagar, 08 November: Div commander of JeM militant outfit was arrested in a joint operation launched by Police, Army and CRPF in Sopore.

On a specific information of Srinagar police regarding the presence of top JeM commander in Yumberzalwari, forests in the jurisdiction of police station Bomie Sopore, a joint operation was launched by Srinagar Police, Sopore Police, 27 RR and CRPF 179 BN in the area. During the operation a top militant of JeM outfit, Div commander Sadeeq Ahmad@ Sadiq son of Ghulam Sarwar Cheehi resident of Haripore Khyber Pakhtoon Khan, Pakistan was arrested. 01 AK-47, 02 Magazine, 70 AK rounds and a pouch were recovered from his possession.
Police has registered a case and investigation is on.
