Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Thursday has announced for Jammu Bandh on Octobor 8, Friday against Omar Abdullah’s statement in the Assembly on Wednesday.
“We have made an appeal to all the political parties, nationalists, patriotic people, youth and student organisations to observe a joint bandh tomorrow in Jammu against anti-national, anti-India and communally provocative statement of Omar Abdullah in Legislative Assembly yesterday,” JKNPP chairman Bhim Singh told reporters here.
Panthers Party chief, Prof. Bhim Singh has appealed to the people of Jammu region to observe a bandh, demanding immediate withdrawal of the ‘anti-national’, ‘anti-India’ and ‘communally provocative’ speech made by the Omar yesterday.
Singh said, describing accession by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1947 as a conditional agreement violates the oath of the allegiance for the Constitution of India that the Chief Minister had taken.
It was Omar who raised the boggy of rehabilitation of Pakistan administrated Kashmir militants, demoralised security forces and attacked Centre by propagating revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act, Singh added.
