Srinagar, Oct 17: In a first, the Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association (JKYJA) on Saturday launched its official website www.jkyja.com and logo in an impressive function at Srinagar. The function presided by President JKYJA, Ajaz Ahmad War saw the presence of all the senior members including Vice President Bilal Furqani, General Secretary Bilal Bashir Bhat, Chief Spokesman Rameez Makhdoomi, Publicity Incharge Peer Viqar Ul Aslam, Coordinator Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Umar Bhat, Jasim Rasool, Muzamil Maqbool, Sohail Ahmad and others.
The function was moderated by Vice President Bilal Furqani, who on the occasion briefed about the necessity of digitalization in any organization. On the occasion Furqani also presented a brief description of Logo. He said the website will draw attention of the concerned to the demands and suggestions of the budding journalists who work tirelessly on ground. However, are deprived of genuine facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Bilal Bashir Bhat said the website is user friendly and presents brief information about the JKYJA. He said that a link for membership is also displayed on website where any working journalist can fill the form to obtain membership. He said, in the coming days all the activities of JKYJA conducted since its foundation from 2012 will be uploaded on the website.
Rameez Makhdoomi, Chief Spokesman on the occasion throws light on the odyssey of JKYJA since its foundation on 05th March 2012. He maintained that JKYJA will continue to fight tooth and nail for the rights and welfare of young journalists.
In his presidential address, Ajaz Ahmad War said the setting-up website for JKYJA was long due. He said JKYJA will continue to work on diverse fronts to see that youngsters overcome the different forms of hardships, besides, we are affirm to take up all the burning issues faced by the Journalists in Jammu and Kashmir and work for the betterment of the media fraternity while maintaining the dignity of the fourth pillar of democracy.
Besides others, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Peer Viqar Ul Aslam, Jasim Rasool and Muzamil Maqbool also spoke on the occasion.
Pertinently, the website is designed and maintained by Shafara Creatives.
