Islamic university gets J&K Bank Extension Counter

Srinagar: With a view to facilitate easy and hassle free banking for the students, scholars and other staff, J&K Bank today opened its Extension Counter within the premises of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST).

Vice Chancellor IUST Dr A R Traag inaugurated the counter in presence of Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Registrar IUST, faculty members, students and senior officers of the Bank.
Thanking the Bank for opening of the counter at IUST, VC said, “We express our gratitude towards the institution which has made all of us proud and has served the interest of people of J&K well throughout its illustrious journey since 1939.”
The Bank has made tremendous progress since last few years because of its committed staff, seriousness of purpose, competence and sincerity, he added.
He further said that from economic empowerment to the social commitments, the Bank has distinguished itself as a remarkable institution that continues to grow and flourish across the country.
Lauding the Bank for developing and maintaining eco-friendly parks across the state, the Vice Chancellor requested for some kind of a recreational facility for students within the campus.
Speaking on the occasion Zonal Head said hailed the role of IUST towards creating a society based on knowledge.
Attributing the Bank’s growth and prosperity to the people’s trust he said that the Bank was committed to reciprocate the trust of people by furthering its reach and access to remote corners of the state while providing world-class cervices to its customers at their doorsteps.
Assuring the students and other scholars of complete financial support from the Bank, he said, “The Bank has designed products and schemes according to the needs and demands of varied sections of society. With easy and hassle-free education finance from the Bank, higher education is no longer a dream.
“With this product, you can aspire for stars and can go to the institutions of excellence for higher education anywhere around the globe,” headed.
Earlier, Head B.U Awantipora welcomed the Vice Chancellor, faculty members, students and thanked them for sparing their precious time for the occasion.
