Srinagar: New Delhi appointed interlocutors for finding a political solution to the Kashmir issue visited twin districts of Baramulla and Kupwara in north Kashmir on Thursday.
Correspondent from north Kashmir said that the team of interlocutors led by journalist Dileep Padgaonkar visited the Apple town around 11 this morning and held talks with officials of civil administration. Padgaonkar, who was joined by other two members-, Academician Radha Kumar and former Bureaucrat MM Ansari also met the family of the  Akthar, 19, and Arifa (16), who were shot abducted from their Muslim peer residence and shot dead in the neighboring locality.
The team also held talks with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad Bhat. Superintendent of Police (SP) Sopore, Altaf Ahmad Khan also met the delegation on the second day of their fifth visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, Padgaonkar and his team visited the residence of Manzoor Ahmad Magray, who was killed by Army in Chogul area of Handwara in the frontier Kupwara district.
The team is expected to meet the members of civil society groups, journalists and religious leaders during their visit to Valley.
Pertinently, the team of interlocutors was appointed by New Delhi last year after massive anti-India demonstrations erupted in the Valley leading to the killing of at least 112 people, mostly in the firing by the government forces.
