Srinagar: New Delhi appointed interlocutors on Wednesday arrived in this winter capital on their fifth visit to the state.
Official sources told a that the team—Journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, Academician Radha Kumar and former Bureaucrat MM Ansari –arrived here in this winter capital on the fifth visit this afternoon. The team is expected to meet the members of civil society groups, journalists and religious leaders during their three-day visit.
On Tuesday, the panel met paid PAK refugees’ Bhour camp, in the outskirts of Jammu city. They also met Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir, independent MLA from Langate, Engineer Abdul Rashid and the members of Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) and Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM).
Pertinently, the team of interlocutors was appointed by New Delhi last year after massive anti-India demonstrations erupted in the Valley leading to the killing of at least 112 people, mostly in the firing by the government forces.
