Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme Concludes at Srinagar

Srinagar, February 09: A five-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme concluded at SCERT Bemina, Srinagar, with the participation of 37 youth delegates from Punjab. The programme was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The programme aimed at promoting cultural and traditional exchange and strengthening national integration through field visits and interactive sessions. As part of the itinerary, the participants visited Lal Chowk in Srinagar and Sonamarg, where they experienced the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Guest Mehboob-ul-Haq, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP), Traffic City Srinagar, while addressing the participants, urged the youth to become ambassadors of unity, peace and national harmony. He emphasised that such exchange programmes play a vital role in strengthening emotional bonds between states and in nurturing responsible and enlightened citizens of the country.

The participants expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, particularly Mera Yuva Bharat, Srinagar, for the successful organisation of the programme.

Deputy Director Pradip Kumar delivered the welcome address and congratulated all the participants. The programme was attended by senior officials from the District Administration Srinagar and the Education Department, Kashmir. My Bharat volunteers, including Imran Khan, Rahi Rayaz, Muntazir Owais, Inam Hussain and Muzamil Abbas, along with Mera Yuva Bharat volunteers, contributed significantly through their dedicated efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
