In a statement here, Inqilabi said, “If Indian government initiated any cruel step of hanging Guru it will have serious consequences.”
“Delhi’s imprudent rulers hanged Kashmiri hero Maqbool Bhat on 11 Feb. 1984 in haste, which resulted in full fledged guerilla war here. In it not only more than one lakh Kashmiris got martyred but India too lost its 30-40 thousand troops,” he said.
MeA patron said “committed warriors of Maqbool Parivaar showed the path of peaceful political resistance movement in Kashmir.”
“Then Geelani Sahab, Mirwaiz Umar Sahab, Shabir Shah Sahab, Hilal War Sahab and other resistance leaders stressed on peaceful solution to Kashmir dispute in order to strengthen the resistance,” he added.
“But India continues to be rigid in its approach,” Inqilabi said.
He said Indian leaders continue to “harp on Atoot Ang” mantra for Kashmir and “deny political space to resistance leadership.”
Inqilabi warned that lingering of Kashmir dispute will have far-reaching consequences for security of the entire region.
“India should keep in mind that there are warriors in South-Asia who desire to fight against Indian imperialistic policies,” he cautioned.
He said if this happened Indian and Pakistan missiles can’t stop these warriors.
“India is already facing ethnic movements in more than of its 10 states and any wrong step about Guru can push India to a whirlpool of uncertainty,” he added.
MeA patron claimed Kashmir guerillas have psychologically besieged Indian seven lakh troops here.
“If Guru is hanged then Pakistani and Afghan Taliban will find their way in Kashmir struggle and Pakistani troops can’t halt their way then. Kashmir Mountains will present a scene of war,” he warned.
He said 40 crore Indian population is already reeling under poverty “and by spending more resources on war its poverty will increase. Indian people will come on roads and throw the rulers out of power.”
Inqilabi advised Indian government to adopt “prudence” while taking decision on Guru.
“Indian position in Kashmir is that of an occupying force. Its rulers reneged on their promise of referendum here.”
He said “till the last Indian soldier leaves Kashmir struggle will continue.” (KMW News)
