Jammu, KMW News): The Army successfully foiled an infiltration bid by Pakistani troops which violated the ceasefire agreement by firing arms at Indian Posts in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district, official spokesman said here today.
“The Army observed a suspicious movement of a group of about three people entering our territory via Nangi Tekri area in Krishna Ghati Sector last night at around 0030 hrs,’’ an official spokesman told.
He said the intruders hid in bushes following which Pakistan Army fired small arms at 0130 hrs from their Daku, Katal and Yellow Bomb posts on forward Indian Posts to give cover fire to the infiltrators.
“Our posts came under heavy fire following which Army retaliated and fired small arms,’’ he added.
He said that Pakistan fired around 700-800 rounds from of automatic weapons and the exchange of fire lasted till 0200 hrs.
“There were no reports of any casualty or injury reported from our side,” the spokesman added.
