Indo-Pak animosity due to K-issue: Mirwaiz

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Thursday said the international community had realized the fact that Kashmir was the real cause of hostility between India and Pakistan and the issue had to be resolved according to the wishes and aspirations of people “It’s for the first time that both the European Union and the Organisation of Islamic Conference have sought the resolution of Kashmir issue through a peaceful and meaningful dialogue. The international community is realizing that Kashmir is the root cause of animosity between India and Pakistan, and a peaceful and stable south Asia is not possible without resolving the issue,” Mirwaiz said while addressing members of the Awami Majlis Amal at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal, today.Mirwaiz also reviewed the preparations for the martyrdom week being observed by the amalgam in memory of Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone.He said thousands of martyrs had rendered huge sacrifices for the cause and it was up to the leadership now to to take the “freedom movement to its logical conclusion.”
