Indian troops are fighting a lost battle in Kashmir: Inqilabi

Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Tuesday said “Indian troops have lost fight in Kashmir.”

Reacting to the statement of Indian Defence Minister A K Antony, Inqilabi said Indian leadership should analyze the statistics provided by the minister “as its troops are fighting a lost battle.”
Antony on Monday informed the parliament that 530 soldiers were killed during Kargil war and 3,987 soldiers have been killed afterwards. He also said nearly 400 soldiers committed suicide in last three years and more than 25000 soldiers opted for pre-mature retirement in the same period.
“Indian troops have lost will and moral courage to fight in Kashmir as they know they are on wrong side,” Inqilabi said.
He said “It is a case of little glory and loads of gore for them (Indian troops).”
MeA patron said “India’s rigid approach” is the basic stumbling in peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Our stand is based on truth and justice. Indian leaders reneged on their promise of referendum in Kashmir which forced Kashmiris to launch resistance movement against its rule here,” he added.
Inqilabi said Kashmiris launched armed rebellion in 1990’s by getting inspired by sacrifice of Maqbool Bhat. “This struggle will continue till it achieves its logical conclusion.”
Warning of escalation in militancy after 2014, the date set for US led NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan, he said, “Pakistani and Afghan Taliban will find their way in Kashmir struggle.”
“In our base camp Azad Kashmir, freedom zealots are regrouping and LoC fencing can’t stop them. Some Pakistan army officers are thinking of launching Kargil like wars on ceasefire line,” he claimed.
Advising India and Pakistan to find a way for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue Inqilabi said, “In both the countries corers of people reel under abject poverty while their rulers spend resources on arms and ammunition.”
“India should remember if it continued with its macavellian tactics instead of rational approach then domino effect of Kashmir will engulf even its peaceful areas. Indians will find themselves unsecure everywhere,” he said.
MeA patron said it would be better for Indian leadership to release all “Kashmir political prisoners’, revoke draconian laws; withdraw its troops so that Kashmiris on either side can decide their fate democratically.” (KMW News)
