New Delhi: Former International Cricket Council (ICC) President Ehsan Mani says India wants to exclude Pakistan from every sport, especially cricket.
“India is an archrival of Pakistan which wants to exclude Pakistan from every game, especially in cricket, and to conquer major games of the world by investing money in them,” Mani told ‘Nawa-i-Waqt’.
He also alleged that BCCI President Shashank Manohar did not want Pakistani players to take part in Indian Premier League(IPL) and will exclude them from the lucrative Twenty20 tournament in the future too.
Mani clarified that the internal security situation in Pakistan is also responsible for turning the country into a pariah avoided by international teams.
“No team is ready to visit Pakistan, and this situation will continue till the internal situation of Pakistan will not get better,” Mani lamented.
The former ICC chief also lashed out at Pakistani Cricket Board(PCB) officials, asserting that they are also responsible for the sorry state of the game in Pakistan.
“The board’s wrong decisions have already destroyed domestic and club level cricket in Pakistan,” Mani said.
“Positive steps must be taken in time to save cricket in the country,” he added.
